I wrote this blog post in the fall of 2017, when I had received the very first oracle deck from the printing house. Spiritual Awakening was born. Since then, 6 new decks have been released. Enjoy reading!
Who would have thought I would make oracle cards? At least not me. It really fell right into my lap. Dear reader, welcome to my first blog post. This first post is about my oracle cards which have already become such a wonderful blessing. Everything has fallen into place, and the customers are pouring in. How did it start?
Well, one day in March (2017) I got the idea. Before that, I had been struggling between two jobs and was actually unemployed and wondering what to do next. I had worked as a nurse in a pharmacy for six years, diverted by a short trip to Sola health farm as a therapist, in addition to art and card design. Now I felt like I was at a crossroads. I was in a difficult and challenging time – emotionally and financially – but at the same time I was living in a spiritual bubble at home. I had daily visions and insights. I had deep experiences of life and access to a wisdom of life that I did not talk about or express to others. I was writing a book, but I also kept this to myself. It was a very strange situation to be in, with one foot in the old life and the other foot in new light ground. I knew that I had to open myself up somehow to allow a change.
Then the idea came. Maybe I should make oracle cards? I furrowed my brows. Well, should I?
In the next few days an incredible process happened. I finished almost the entire deck! I wrote the titles that same evening, then I chose pictures/designed pictures that matched the titles … and finally the interpretations came in one day! I wrote and wrote without thought or analysis, and I never stopped to look for words. Everything came as a gift, a transfer of energy. I printed the finished cards on regular A4 paper in my printer at home, cut them up and started using them.
The surprise was great when I realized that it worked very well. I tested it many times and used it for all my questions in the confusion I had at the time. I eventually suspected that I had been given a channeling gift because they were quite magical cards. They eventually got the name: A Guide to Spiritual Awakening.
The next step was to print some sample cards at UanZ. I remember when I picked up the cards they were in a small brown box on a desk in the printing house. Nine sets. It was strange to feel them. I was excited and happy at the same time. Out in the car I tested and studied each card carefully.
When I got home, I laid all the cards out on the kitchen table. I took pictures and sent them to some friends and wondered if they would test the cards. Luckily, I have many friends who are curious about this kind of thing and who thought this was exciting to try. It didn't take long before feedback poured in: "The cards are absolutely magical," "They are amazing," "I really get help from using them..." etc. Now I was really excited to continue with this project. I got more and more confirmation that I had created something valuable, that could support and bring joy to others in their lives. It was time to take it further.
I sent the cards to the Tanum book club Energica and after a few months a positive response came. They want to take the cards into the book club. Is this true?? Yes indeed…The same day I sent an order for a large edition. By then I had made the graphic completion of the manual and box, and the product was professional in every way and ready to manifest in a finished and store-ready edition. Cheers to the ceiling!!
Now the result is here. Several online booksellers have ordered it for their stores, and I am eagerly awaiting responses from several potential retailers. This year there will also be an article about the cards in MEDIUM magazine. What the future holds for my cards is very open. I am delighted that this gift came into my life, and that I can pass it on and hopefully bring joy and help to many…I will continue to make oracle cards, and already have a new deck ready soon.
